Man Who Shouted Heil Hitler! Heil Trump! Did It Because Fiddler On The Roof Reminded Him Of His Hatred Of Trump

The man who shouted “Heil Hitler! Heil Trump!” during the intermission of “Fiddler on the Roof” on Wednesday reportedly did it because he hates President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Baltimore police identified the man as 58-year-old Anthony M. Derlunas II.

Derlunas reportedly told police he had been “drinking heavily throughout the night,” and that he yelled what he did because the scene prior to the “intermission reminded him of his hatred for President Trump,” according to the New York Times. He also reportedly stated that the anger directed at him after his outburst was reason to believe there were a high percentage of Trump supporters in the audience. (RELATED: Heil Hitler! Heil Trump! “An unfortunate and isolated event occurred during last nights performance of Fiddler on the Roof when an intoxicated audience member shouted anti-Semitic slurs during the shows intermission. The staff at the Baltimore Hiippodrome acted swiftly and the person was removed from the theater without disruption to the show,” an official account for the Fiddler on the Roof production tweeted.

Despite not knowing the identity of the person who interrupted the intermission, MSNBCs Chris Hayes blamed Trump for the outburst suggesting that racists “think the president is on their side.”

He also reportedly tweeted, apparently sarcastically, “I swear its the strangest thing the way Nazis and racists and bigots of all stripes invoke the name of the President as an expression of their evil.” The tweet is no longer visible on his timeline.

The president very clearly thinks his base is activated by racism and bigotry, and racists and bigots very clearly think the president is on their side.

Many others also assumed Trump was responsible for this and that the man was a supporter of the president.

Of course Neo-Nazis are disrupting productions of Fiddler on the Roof. There is a 57% rise in anti-semitism. Our President tweets Nazi memes. The new House Minority Leader tweets about evil Jews buying our elections. Both sides arent good people.

Fiddler on the Roof is the story of a “poor milkman in czarist Russia, where he provides for five unmarried daughters and a sharp-tongued wife.” He faces growing anti-Semitism with mounting financial strain.
