Ellyse Perry’s season average reaches an astronomical 209 after another dashing ton

Ellyse Perry's remarkable summer has continued in some style at the SCG, with the superstar all-rounder belting another WBBL century as the Sydney Sixers beat the Brisbane Heat.
Perry's rich vein of form in this tournament continued on Saturday as she racked up a superb 103 from just 64 balls, her second ton from six innings.
On 93 with two balls remaining in the innings, Perry hit a six and a four from the final deliveries to bring up the hundred. The Sixers posted 3-166, a target the Heat never realistically looked like tracking down.
Perry's start to this WBBL campaign has been ridiculous.
Scores of 58, 102*, 74*, 10, 72* and 103* have her miles ahead of the pack in overall runs with 419, and give her an incredible average of 209.50.
Perry's batting was largely unsighted during Australia's run to claim the Women's T20 World Cup in November, but she has returned to her very best for the domestic season at home.
And she was unstoppable on this day against Brisbane, taking her time to reach 50 before taking 48 runs from her last 17 deliveries faced of the innings.
After losing Alyssa Healy (2) in the third over, the reigning champions were in early trouble at 1-8 before Perry took the game out of the Heat's hands.
She struck 10 boundaries and five sixes as the Sixers joined the Sydney Thunder atop the competition ladder on 10 points.
The Heat never really threatened during the run chase with Jess Jonassen top-scoring with 33 before they were restricted to 7-155.
Dane van Niekerk and Erin Burns each claimed two wickets for the Sixers.
