Thomas Cook has announced plans to bring its Casa Cook hotel brand to Majorca this year.

The operator has signed a franchise agreement with HI Partners to for Hotel Sa Torre.

Cook plans to give the hotel a Casa Cook makeover, with a view to it reopening later this year.

If the renovation proceeds to schedule, it will be the fourth Casa Cook property to open this year.

Casa Cook Chania will open in May, followed by Casa Cook Ibiza in July. Casa Cook El Gouna, Egypt, is also due during 2018.

In total, Cook plans to open 20 new own-brand hotels this year.

Enric Noguer, chief of Thomas Cook Hotels and Resorts, said: “Majorca remains our most popular holiday destination and bringing our most important hotel brand to the island is a major step forward for us in continuing to develop a successful hotel division within Thomas Cook.

“We are excited about the new opportunities that the agreement with HI Partners opens up and we look forward to working with Hi Partners to identify and collaborate on further projects in the coming months.”
