KitKat is breaking away from its traditional two-finger chocolate bar with a new luxurious, handmade selection.

Food giant Nestle will be offering new bars, as part of a new upmarket chocolatey range – with more than 1,500 different flavour combinations to choose from.

The move is the biggest development from the brand since the arrival of the KitKat Chunky, 20 years ago.

Chocolate lovers can create their own bespoke eight-finger bar thanks to the new KitKat Chocolatory.

They can pick either milk, dark, ruby or white chocolate to coat their bar and add up to three ingredients including mini marshmallows, meringue, honeycomb, toasted coconut and more.

The 150g bars come with a price tag, at £14, compared to a standard four-fingered KitKat which costs just 65p.

The new bars will come in bespoke presentation boxes and will be available to buy via pop-ups in 30 John Lewis branches from 26 September until 24 December. They will also be available to order from a new Nestlé website – launching in November.
