You can get free beer for helping to tackle food poverty
Do we like free drinks? Yes. Do we want to help people? Yes. Then good news because a beer company is making it happen.
Camden Town Brewery has come up with a can-for-can initiative and you get a free drink for non-perishable food handed over to them.
The brewery is working with charity The Felix Project to try to stop people going hungry this winter.
With fruit, vegetables and the grain and hops needed to make the beer plentiful after the warmer months, the company want to make sure others are not going without.
So kind-hearted souls (who love a free bevvy) will get to taste the new Harvest Hells range.
Win-win.
The brewery hopes to help some of the 8.4 million people in the UK struggling to afford food.
With one in 10 parents relying on local charities and food banks, they also want to raise awareness for food poverty.

So this week the Harvest Hells van is touring the UK with its can-for-can swap. All the donations will then be given to food banks around the country.

All tinned food donations will be greatly appreciated at your local can-for-can collection point:
- Tuesday 24 September – Camden Market, London (NW1 8AF): 12-3pm
- Wednesday 25tSeptember – Media City, Manchester (M50 2EQ): 12-3pm
- Thursday 26 September – Victoria Leeds, Leeds (LS2 7AU): 12-3pm
- Friday 27 September – Royal Albert Dock Liverpool (L3 4AA): 12-3pm
And theyre not stopping there, Camden Town Brewery is donating 20p from every Harvest Hills can sold within the first month of sales.
