But it can be tricky if the intended recipient is vegan.
But don’t worry – these recipes are easy, quick, delicious, and completely vegan – and you can make a great big stack of them to present to all of your friends, whether they’re vegan or not.
Chocolate peanut butter bark
Ingredients
200g dairy-free dark chocolate
1 tbsp smooth peanut butter
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp maple syrup
Toppings – peanuts and dairy-free chocolate chips

Method
In a small bowl, mix together the peanut butter, coconut oil and maple syrup.
Microwave this mixture for a few seconds to help combine all the ingredients.
Break up the dark chocolate into smaller pieces and add to a heatproof bowl.
Place the bowl over a small pan of gently simmering water, ensuring the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water, and leave to melt.
Pour the melted chocolate into a square 20cm (8in) cake tin that’s lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle the peanut butter mixture on top and start creating swirls using a toothpick or cocktail stick.
Sprinkle the peanuts and chocolate chips on top.
Refrigerate for at least an hour or until the chocolate has set.

Ingredients
80g almonds
75g cashews
60g pecans
60g hazelnuts
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp maple syrup

Method
Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C fan assisted.
Add all the nuts to a large bowl along with the chilli, cinnamon, garlic and salt. Give everything a quick mix.
Pour over the maple syrup and mix again ensuring that all the nuts are well coated.
Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, giving it a stir half way through.
Leave to cool completely.
