Prepare your Instagram, because the Starbucks Christmas cups are out now
Attention, please. Now that Halloween’s over, it’s officially Christmas time.
Don’t believe us? Then trust in brands. The Coca-Cola truck is on its way around the UK, Costa has released its Christmas menu, and today Starbucks officially unveiled its Christmas cups.
(Yes, we did have a sneaky preview last week, but now we know the legit, 100% real cup being sold this year)
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas
This year’s cup has the standard Starbucks logo in green, surrounded by doodles of hands, presents, doves, and mistletoe. So far, so Christmassy (although we suspect Starbucks will still be accused of disrespecting a religious holiday), but there’s a secret theme.
Starbucks wants to promote mindfulness, so they’re encouraging people to sip their Christmas drinks as a break during shopping, sit down, relax, and then colour in their cups once they’re done. Lovely.
The cups will be rolled out from today, 2 November, and are joined by a snazzy new Christmas menu. Here’s what’s on offer.
the Starbucks Christmas menu:
CHRISTMAS DRINKS:
Gingerbread latte
Espresso infused with gingerbread syrup and steamed milk, topped with whipped cream and wafer crumbs
Toffee nut latte
Espresso, steamed milk, whipped cream, and hazelnut sprinkles
Fudge hot chocolate
Steamed milk mixed with milk chocolate and fudge syrup, topped with fudge flavoured whipped cream and a sprinkle of gold chocolate curls. Fancy.
Eggnog latte
Espresso mixed with steamed eggnog and served with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg
Festive cold brew
Slow-steeped cold brew coffee with a touch of syrup, finished with orange and cranberry pieces. To reiterate, this is an iced drink, so maybe avoid ordering it if it’s a chilly day and you don’t have gloves.
