Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne admits he’s yet to begin contract talks with the club but insists he’s in no rush to sign a new deal.
The 26-year-old’s been in sensational form so far this season and provided another fantastic performance in City’s 2-1 win against Napoli at the Etihad on Tuesday.
The Belgian moved to City for roughly £55million in 2015 and earns roughly £115,000-a-week.
De Bruyne’s agent recently compared his client’s wages to Neymar and suggested the Belgian was due a payrise at the club.
The midfielder has confirmed that talks will start at some point but insists he’s under no pressure to sign a new deal.
‘My agent went already one time to Txiki [Begiristain, City’s director of football]. Talks are coming,’ said De Bruyne.
‘I’m patient anyway, I don’t stress. I think I read something in the press but I have time.’
