It Was Electric Being In The Building For Caps Game Six
I was in the building for the Washington Capitals game six against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and it was one of the coolest sports experiences Ive ever had.
Tickets were shockingly cheap when I got them with a couple coworkers. The choice was easy to hit the purchase button and prepare for the game.
Naturally, we had to start the night at Hooters. The beer is cheap and the wings are good. Its not really a Washington Capitals game if you dont do Hooters first. Its just the way the city works, and its a great place for us to get a little lubricated before game time. (SLIDESHOW: HOCKEY RINKS MIGHT BE COLD, BUT THESE WOMEN ARE SCORCHING HOT)
I could tell that something was different from the moment I stepped into the building. The air just felt different. Id never seen Caps fans so excited and on-edge at the same time. What I saw next was incredible.
The Caps and company dominated from start to finish. There was never a doubt in my mind that they were going to tie this series 3–3. Not for a single moment was I worried. Thats just how much faith I have in the program.
The energy was out of this world. The people were going nuts nonstop, and they flooded into the streets after the final buzzer.
A few more beers, and it was finally time to go home. Im glad I bought tickets because thats a night I wont be forgetting anytime soon.
Now, its time for our boys to zip this thing up and face Vegas for the Stanley Cup. Thats what its all about!
